A total of Ten ranks are awarded in each branch of BE/BTech
A candidate is eligible for a VTU Class rank at the time of award of degree in each branch of BE/BTech, provided he or she has:
- Passed in all the subjects from 1st to 8th semester in FIRST attempt only.
- For the award of rank in a branch of BE/BTech, the cumulative total marks secured by the candidate from 5th to 8th semesters shall be considered.
- Should not have repeated or rejected any of the lower semesters.
- Must have completed the prescribed course of study within 4 academic years.
A total of Ten ranks are awarded in Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch)
A candidate is eligible for a VTU Class rank at the time of award of degree for the course of B.Arch, provided he or she has:
- Passed in all the subjects from 1st to 10th semester in FIRST attempt only.
- For the award of rank in the branch of B.Arch, the cumulative total marks secured by the candidate from VII to X semester shall be considered.
- Should not have repeated or rejected any of the lower semesters.
- Must have completed the prescribed course of study within 5 academic years
A total of Three ranks is awarded in Post Graduate Degree(PGD) in each branch of M.Tech
A candidate shall be eligible for a VTU Class rank at the time of award of Post Graduate Degree in each branch of M.Tech, provided he or she has:
- Passed in all the subjects from 1st to 4th semester in FIRST attempt only.
- For the award of rank in a branch of M.Tech, the cumulative total marks secured by the candidate from 1st to 4th semester shall be considered.
- Should not have repeated or rejected any of the lower semesters.
- Must have completed the prescribed course of study within 2 academic years
A total of Ten ranks is awarded in Master of Computer Applications(MCA)
A candidate shall be eligible for a VTU Class rank at the time of award of degree for the course of Master of Computer Applications, provided he or she has:
- Passed in all the subjects from 1st to 6th semester in FIRST attempt only.
- For the award of rank in a branch of MCA, the cumulative total marks secured by the candidate from 1st to 6th semester shall be considered.
- Should not have repeated or rejected any of the lower semesters.
- Must have completed the prescribed course of study within 3 academic years.
A total of Ten ranks is awarded in Master of Business Administration (MBA)
A candidate shall be eligible for a VTU Class rank at the time of award of degree for the course of Master of Business Administration (MBA), provided he or she has:
- Passed in all the subjects from 1st to 4th semester in FIRST attempt only.
- For the award of rank in a branch of MBA, the cumulative total marks secured by the candidate from 1st to 4th semester shall be considered.
- Should not have repeated or rejected any of the lower semesters.
- Must have completed the prescribed course of study within 2 academic years.
